As a Contract Specialist, you will:

Monitor existing and or new contracts during the life of the contract to determine if all requirements are being met and price costs are not exceeding estimated amount. Incorporate new or changed contract requirements, or settle issues that develop after contract placement, including making eligible adjustment in price and delivery schedules under a variety of conditions.
Ensure that the bid schedule is properly structured, prepare the solicitation, determine sources to be solicited, conduct pre-bid conferences, process protests, determine the responsiveness of bids and determine the responsibility of the apparent low bidder based on an analysis of financial and technical information gained during the pre-award survey, and award of the contracts.
Plan the procurement action with technical, legal, and financial personnel. Provide guidance in the development of the statement of work, and solicitation document, determine the type of contract best suited to the requirement, and develop special clauses and terms and conditions applicable to the solicitation.
