Logistics Plans Analyst

Amentum has an opportunity for a highly qualified Logistics Plans Analyst to provide logistics plans support to USINDOPACOM (J85) Science and Technology Division. This position is located at Camp Smith, Hawaii.
You would be an excellent candidate for this position if you:

- Have knowledge and experience in Department of Defense (DoD) plans, operations, procurements, and logistics.
In this position, you will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, coordination, and execution of logistical operations for science and technology (S&T) related exercises. This role demands a high level of organization, communication, and strategic thinking to support the mission and objectives of the exercises.
Specific Duties:
- Develop detailed logistics plans for various USINDOPACOM exercises.
- Conduct needs assessments to determine the logistics requirements for each exercise.
- Create timelines, schedules, and checklists to ensure all logistical components are addressed.
- Identify, procure, and allocate necessary resources, including equipment, personnel, and supplies.
- Coordinate transportation and distribution of resources to exercise locations.
- Serve as the primary logistics point of contact during exercises.
- Collaborate with joint and coalition units, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Supervise the setup, operation, and teardown of exercise sites.
- Facilitate effective communication among all exercise participants regarding logistics plans and changes.
- Develop and manage budgets for exercise logistics.
- Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, including inventory, transportation, and expenditures.
- Conduct after-action reviews and compile reports on logistical performance and lessons learned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
- At least 5 years of experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), including at least 3 of experience with related logistics work
- At least 2 years of experience working in military plans
- At least 2 years of experience in a senior military staff office (Service HQ, Combatant Command, OSD, JS)
- Knowledge of the Indo-Asia-Pacific region
- Experience in operational and/or strategic levels of DoD planning and/or execution
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient at authoring analytical and/or policy documents
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must have an active Secret security clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- At least 10 years of experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), including at least 8 of experience with related logistics work
- At least 5 years of experience working in military plans
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior military staff office (Service HQ, Combatant Command, OSD, JS)
- Proficiency with MS Teams, SharePoint, and Shared Drive folder management
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to provide information, articles, written reports, and presentations to include delivering executive summaries to flag and general officers (FO/GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) level officials.
The salary range for this position is $135K to $145K. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
