Job Description
As a Cook III, you will play a pivotal role in our kitchen operations, contributing to the creation of memorable dining experiences with your advanced culinary skills. This role is designed for a seasoned professional passionate about food preparation and culinary excellence. Join our dedicated and high-performing Culinary Team to inspire and lead through exceptional cuisine preparation.
Responsibilities
Prepare meals following Hyatt's recipes, combining and cooking ingredients to meet the highest quality and presentation standards.
Offer ideas and suggestions for menu items and specials and assist in menu design and creation of recipes.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Manage temperature and HACCP logs as required; ensure proper dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
Store food according to established standards and local regulations.
Keep equipment, food storage, and work areas clean and organized, adhering to daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
Efficiently operate and manage multiple stations on hot cooking lines and in various culinary departments.
Lead by example, mentoring and supporting Cook II and Cook I associate, fostering teamwork and high standards.
Qualifications:
Significant professional cooking experience, beyond entry or intermediate level.
A natural passion for food and a desire to grow as a culinary professional.
Ability to prepare and cook food according to specified recipes and quality standards.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Commitment to quality, adherence to department and hotel policies, and a pride in your profession.
Flexibility and willingness to train and work across various cooking lines and culinary departments.
