Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NOC (Network Operations Center) Manager to join our team at a prominent MSP based in Charlotte, NC. This role offers the flexibility of mostly remote work, with occasional on-site visits. As the NOC Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the NOC, ensuring the highest level of network performance, availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of NOC engineers and technicians. Develop and implement strategies to improve NOC operations and performance. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to NOC staff. Conduct performance reviews and manage staff schedules. Network Monitoring and Incident Management: Oversee the monitoring of network systems and infrastructure. Ensure prompt detection, diagnosis, and resolution of network issues and incidents. Develop and enforce incident response protocols and escalation procedures. Coordinate with other departments and clients to address and resolve network-related issues. Service Delivery and Performance Management: Ensure compliance with SLAs and performance metrics. Develop and maintain NOC documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures. Implement and manage network monitoring tools and systems. Generate and analyze reports on network performance and incident trends. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies. Collaborate with the engineering team to implement network upgrades and enhancements. Drive initiatives to enhance network security and reliability.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in network operations or a similar role. At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial position. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network protocols, systems, and infrastructure. Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG). Experience with incident management and ITIL processes. Familiarity with cloud services and virtualization technologies. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to work effectively in a remote and collaborative environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
