The award-winning Hilton ColumbusDowntown is looking for a Restaurant Manager to join this growing team With recognition within and outside of Hilton (ex. 5-time Connie Award Winner, Hilton's F&B Program of the Year, AAA 4-Diamond award) and recently completed a multi-million dollar expansion, this is an incredible opportunity

Located in the heart of the city, this hotel has 1,000 rooms, 75,000 square feet of banquet space, and 6 food and beverage outlets. 

FYR is our signature chef-driven, live fire restaurant that will incorporate fire & smoke into the main dishes, cocktails & desserts. The menu will feature innovative Latin cuisine in an open kitchen concept using the freshest seasonal, locally grown ingredients. FYR represents the metaphorical hearth of downtown Columbus with the centerpiece of the kitchen being a wood-fired grill. The use of fire & smoke is incorporated into most dishes to bring the historical ritual of cooking over an open flame tableside.

This role will help lead the day-to-day operations, driving exemplary service and creating a positive environment for internal and external guests. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position within a restaurant environment, demonstrated experience in growing and developing cohesive teams, excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion to want to grow and develop your career further within the hospitality industry.

What will I be doing?

As the Restaurant Manager, you would be responsible for assisting the manager in directing and organizing the activities and services of a hotel food and beverage outlet (restaurant, lounge, room service, coffee shop, etc.) to deliver an excellent guest experience. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Management of operations to include, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, marketing initiatives, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation Monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counselling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward Monitoring and assessing product quality and service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards Initiating and implementing marketing and up-selling techniques to promote restaurant food and beverage and services and to maximize overall revenue Lead recruiting efforts, interviewing and training team members Requirements
