Description

Hilton Chicago is looking for their next Barista (Cafe Attendant) to join the F&B team in Herb n'Kitchen. Chicago's on-the-go urban market inside Hilton Chicago, is offering roasted Starbucks coffee, bakers’ confections, artisan salads and sandwiches, and gourmet bites prepared from scratch daily with food-to-room delivery and advance order for pick-up available.

The ideal candidate will hold minimum of 2 years of Barista experience, a friendly/outgoing approach, a great approach to teamwork and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You must have full availability to work the ever-changing schedule of hospitality. This is a fantastic opportunity for those seeking to begin their hospitality career.

Shift Pattern: AM and PM shifts, starting as early as 5AM and finishing as late as 12AM-1AM.

Pay Rate: $18.75 per hour

What will I be doing:

Greets, prepares, services, and takes guests' orders for beverages and/or food in a friendly, courteous, professional and timely manner to ensure total guest satisfaction. Upsells additional items to enhance profitability. Enters orders into a computerized system and settles check(s) upon completion of order. Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards. Specifically:

Makes and/or presents drinks using standard ingredient(s)/recipes and practicing prudent portion control.

Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, maintaining accountability for all beverages served.

Receives cash from guests, makes any change needed, verifies validity of charges, records charges, and insures vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all transactions. Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the coffee bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning, stocking and rotating all products needed. Requirements
