$1500 sign on bonus

 

Pay: $24-$25, based on experience. 

 

Position Overview                                                

Drive lowboy truck to move equipment between facilities, yard and jobsites.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  1. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operational order and report maintenance or repair issues.
  2. Operate truck and trailer to transport equipment between jobsites and facilities in a safe and efficient manner.  Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions. 
  3. Operate equipment to load and unload trailer.
  4. Utilize chains and binders to secure loads to the trailer.
  5. Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle.  Investigate abnormalities.  Complete written report of problems or necessary repairs and forward to maintenance personnel.  Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to shop personnel.  Perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs (i.e. mud flaps and mirror adjustments).
  6. Move material as necessary in the performance of the job or as directed.
  7. Maintain vehicle in a clean an orderly condition, inside and out.  Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations. 
  8. Maintain operator logs, time cards, mileage sheets, vehicle repair sheets, and records in accordance with company policy and departmental transportation regulations.
  9. There may be some out-of-town deliveries or pick up of equipment.

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

Use of machines, tools, equipment; tools, chains, binders, lowboy truck and trailer, heavy equipment.

 

Physical Requirements
