Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: Planning, conducting, and reporting on a full range of criminal investigations to protect an organization's, personnel, property, facilities, or information. Uses a high degree of ingenuity and initiative to provide guidance while conducting criminal investigations..
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-grade
Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement.

Promotion Potential: This position is at the full performance level. Selectee may be required to serve a one-year probationary period. Selectee will be required to complete an OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Form. Permanent Change of Duty Station (PCS) Expenses will not be paid. This position may be designated as essential personnel. These personnel must be able to serve without regard to declarations of liberal leave, government closures due to weather, protests, and acts of terrorism, or lack of funding. Selectee must meet the established experience, basic training, and in-service training requirements established for the enforcement of police powers. Selectee must complete in-service requirements and weapons qualification for the enforcement of arrest authority as conferred under 40 U.S.C 1315 authority. Selectee may be required to work overtime and shift work. This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968, which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms or ammunition. This position may require overnight travel on a regular and recurring basis in order to accomplish the duties assigned.
