  • Will recommend revisions and/or improvements in mold design.
  • Knowledge of set up and operate a variety of conventional machine shop equipment (vertical mill, lathe, surface grinders, cutter grinders, etc.)
  • and sinker EDM machines (Sodick CNC sinker EDM experience preferred but not required) to cut, turn, mill, drill, bore, and grind.
  • Will need to possess advanced manual machining skills including: milling contours, engraving; turning threads, boring pockets; grinding flats, diameters, shoulders, slots, and dressing.
  • Understanding basics of injection molding mechanics and mold function
  • Able to machine / polish / surface grind / EDM stepped parting lines.
