Job Overview:
The Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Sr. Analyst optimizes our inventory to satisfy customer demand. In this role, you will provide operational support as well as develop skills in relevant D2C systems to help execute and drive the business. The D2C Sr. Analyst is self-motivated, has strong analytical skills, is able to independently manage workload and priorities, can communicate clearly, and is proactive in identifying key business risks and opportunities. They will independently manage cross functional relationships to inform and provide guidance on fulfillment plans as it relates to Merchandising Planning, Logistics, and Store Operations. The D2C Sr. Analyst administers in-season activities to predict and manage the level of various fulfillment activity and develops financial daily sales plans for the COM.
Essential Functions:
Create seasonal fulfillment forecasts for COM facilities and stores and manages in-season projections to inform workload planning Manage all fulfillment controls to support OL businesses; quickly triage and address any issues or callouts Provide detailed operational forecasts for Peak holiday demand and oversee key performance metrics Partner with Macy's cross functional teams to test and roll out enhancements to the Fulfillment Logic and Delivery & Fulfillment capabilities Partner with merchant and store teams on special business driving fulfillment overrides Manage returns transfers strategy and tool to place inventory in optimal location Develop new analytics and reporting as needed Educate the organization on fulfillment logic
Qualifications and Competencies:
We encourage candidates with either a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply
Highly analytical with thorough understanding of retail math and principles of planning Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with all levels of management and cross functional teams Demonstrated skill at balancing multiple projects and various business priorities and meeting deadlines Ability to independently problem-solve, with an awareness of when to escalate issues Flexible with excellent organization and follow through skills Proficient in the use of: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access and SQL; ability to code in VBA a plus Ability to quickly master new technology 4 year College Degree required
Physical Requirements:
Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing and talking Continuous use of computers and other office equipment Frequently lift/move up to 25 lbs.
