Put a LIFT in your career Hyster-Yale Material Handling designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We are a global organization and are seeking a Reliability Mechanic or Technician in our Fairview, Oregon facility that is responsible for maintaining many of our test products.

Hyster-Yale Material Handling is looking for an energetic individual who is well suited to work in a dynamic team environment where they would be required to work effectively with individuals with a broad range of responsibilities and who will have a positive influence on the organization and the success of our future products.

Key Responsibilities:

Mechanic I or II level
  • Maintain fleet of forklifts in various stages of development for maximum vehicle uptime (including but not limited to tune ups, fluid and filter changes, tire changing, brake adjustments and brake shoe replacements)
  • Troubleshooting and electrical diagnostics of down equipment
  • Perform general preventative maintenance on company vehicles and facility equipment as directed
  • Maintain service and test records
  • Communicate with local companies to obtain parts as needed
  • Ability to operate various types and models of forklift trucks or other mobile equipment
  • Send out daily status emails


Technician or Sr. Tech. level (in addition to above)
  • Identify and document development issues while working closely with Test and Design Engineers
  • Higher level documentation and tracking of vehicle usage and reporting out of the daily status
  • Possible local travel to interface with external customers or vendors (
