PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for implementing a Reliability Centered Maintenance Program in the Renewal by Andersen (RbA) that improves equipment health, increases Operation % Uptime and equipment reliability and availability, throughout the equipment lifecycle. The ideal candidate for this position is an innovative thinker and has a passion for operational excellence.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing a life cycle asset management (LCAM) process to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
  • Ensuring adherence to life cycle asset management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of new/existing assets.
  • Monitoring equipment performance, identifying and solving problems related to the reliability of systems and equipment.
  • Analyzing equipment failure data, conducting root cause analysis and developing and implementing new procedures and processes
  • Identifying top equipment and process health issues hindering operations and maintenance stability.
  • Improve equipment % Uptime through the implementation of improved Preventative Maintenance practices.
  • Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
  • Leverage AW Pulse, EAM, Central Stores, Financial and Operations data to identify and implement improvements to % Uptime and Plant Output.
  • Increase equipment reliability (mean time between failure MTBF) through the implementation and improvement of predictive and preventative maintenance practices.
  • Identify top preventative and predictive maintenance opportunities within the sub-plants and work with the maintenance teams to update plans and procedures as needed.
  • Optimize component consumption and improve MTBF through component standardization and specifications.
  • Participates in the final check-out of new installations, including factory and site acceptance testing to assure adherence to functional specifications
  • Create key performance indicators for asset performance and reliability
  • Develop reliability model for component, equipment and tooling life
  • Create and implement plans that proactively address equipment obsolescence.
  • Partner with maintenance on training, scheduling or procedure updates
  • Partner with manufacturing engineering on new tooling and/or equipment innovations and specification to extend equipment life and increase MTBF
  • Partner with suppliers to build strong collaborative relationships
  • Identify procedures and best practices for new process introductions
  • Strong understanding of DMAIC tools to enable Lean Sigma cost savings projects
  • Demonstrate continued personal growth and development
  • Mentor developing engineers and technicians
  • Promote a hands-on, high involvement approach to problem-solving.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent engineering experience
  • 2+ years of engineering experience preferred with mechanical/electrical and process improvement aptitude
  • Knowledge and experience with quality systems, statistical process control, process capability and lean manufacturing tools
  • Proficient in safe work methods (lock out tag out, arc flash)
  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills
  • Strong aptitude in problem solving, collecting data, performing statistical analyses, and making process improvements through sound, data-driven decisions
  • Comfortable with hands-on work
  • Interest in working in a manufacturing setting
  • Self-motivated and able to learn quickly; being able to work independently and on a team depending on the situation
  • Experience with change management strategies
