This manager will be an integral part of the management team participating in overall plant goals, guidance, performance, short and long-term strategic planning. The products these responsibilities include but are not limited to Industrial ammonia, metallurgical grade ammonia, prilled urea, environmental grade urea, UAN, ammonium nitrate (prilled & liquid), nitric acid, diesel exhaust fluid, and 50% urea water. Total shipments managed by the product Distribution/Traffic manager include approximately 32,000 truck and approximately 12,000 railcar shipments per year. Solutions loading, blending, and dissolve activities are 24 hours per day/7 days a week.

 

What you will do:

  • Responsible for working with the marketing, commercial, and sales group on product shipments during normal operations and assisting with balancing products during plant interruptions/turnarounds
  • Dissolve AN and Urea fines to make 32U solution
  • Manage the contractual rail crew who places all empty rail cars on-site and weighs all cars leaving the plant site
  • Responsible for oversight with operations for maintaining all DOT, HAZWOPER, internal, FRA (Federal Railroad Administration) procedures and compliance for all loading and shipping personnel
  • Daily guidance/collaboration with operations managers on plant rates, product balance, effective inventories required to meet customer needs and shipment plans

 

What you will bring:

  • Significant supervisory experience (8+ years required)
  •  Degree from a recognized university

  •  Minimum of 10 years of product distribution and rail transportation experience
