Executive Search Researcher, Science Executive Recruiting

The Team hires Amazon's senior-most talent in the Science space on both the IC (Principal, Senior Principal and Distinguished Scientists) and leadership (Senior Manager, Director, Vice President) tracks.
The domains covered include:
Computer Vision, Databases, Data Science, Economics, Databases, Hardware, Machine Learning, NLP, Optimization, Operations Research, Robotics, Security, Speech Recognition and Sustainability.
The Science Executive Recruiting Team has the unique ability work across all of Amazon's businesses and impact each senior leadership team.
The Executive Search Researcher will be responsible for owning and executing search strategies to identify and engage talent.
They will work with senior executives and create robust hiring and candidate development strategies.
They will be expected to identify, recruit and hire world renowned Science candidates.
This person will need to be well-versed in all aspects of senior executive technical search particularly candidate identification, engagement, development, and creative sourcing.
They will work with a strong, established team of Recruiters and Researchers.
Key job responsibilitiesSpecific responsibilities include but, aren't limited to:
o Developing robust, multi-channel, search strategies that will attract world class scientists.
o Acting as a talent adviser to leaders across Amazon - educating hiring managers about the external science leadership demographic.
o Clearly communicating status and progress against open searches.
o Providing strategic guidance to executive leadership in matters related to top scientific talent.
o Serving as an expert for science executive search.
o Continuous company and talent mapping in key science areas for the company.
o Developing prospects into candidates, engaging them and performing assessment/screening and presenting candidates to executive leadership.
o Continually contributing to the knowledge base of the group and Amazon, as a whole, by providing education on relevant industries and talent pools/profiles.
o Building out talent networks in scientific domains and tapping knowledgeable industry sources to develop an on-going pool of candidates.
o Supporting client update meetings on active searches with market-relevant content.
o Conducting phone interviews and preparing candidates for technical phone interviews.
o Coaching leaders to continuously improve their talent acquisition capabilities - especially at senior level.
o Attending top Science conferences to build long term relationships with external talent.
