Job Description
The Data Centers Network Architect is responsible for the design and health of Expeditors' network. As a member of Data Centers, the Network Architect will design and support Expeditors global and local networks and connections that are critical to the support of Expeditors branch infrastructure and global operations. The Network Architect leads the evolution of the Expeditors network, which spans more than 250 locations around the globe.
- Be a collaborative member of a highly motivated and agile team
- Represent networking in architecture leadership discussions
- Design 99.999% global network
- Interact with people more than systems
- Stay abreast of new technologies, concepts, and approaches
- Provide technical leadership by coaching and mentoring network engineering staff
- Develop and maintain industry standard best security practices
- Develop and deliver professional proposals and design documentation
- Drive standardization and automation into all aspects of the network platform
This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Experience with Big-IP LTM/GTM deployments and configurations Experience with Windows and UNIX operating systems Experience with public and private cloud design and implementation Experience with third party vendor management Experience with implementation of network segmentation, including concepts such as zero trust CCIE and CCDE certifications or equivalentApplicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not transfer or sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (such as an H-1B visa) for this opportunity.
Additional Information
Expected base salary: $165,000 to $240,000
