The UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring an Executive Director of Decision Support. This full-time position is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Summary:

The Executive Director of Decision Support will lead the comprehensive analysis and presentation of business financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making at the highest levels. This role champions the development of robust dashboards and reports, ensures data integrity and compliance, and collaborates with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective data solutions. The Executive Director will also oversee financial reporting, manage strategic plans and budgets, and lead enterprise risk management initiatives to drive organizational success.

Minimum Qualifications of an Executive Director of Decision Support:

Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified (Financial Operations). Completed degree from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) will be required if selected for hire.

Duties and Responsibilities of an Executive Director of Decision Support:

  1. Direct the comprehensive analysis, interpretation, and presentation of business financial performance to support the CFO and Senior Management Team in making informed, strategic decisions.
  2. Champion the creation and maintenance of efficient, robust, and user-friendly dashboards, reports, and data books that provide critical metrics to all levels of the organization.
  3. Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports and valuable insights to the leadership team, board members, and executive leaders.
  4. Assure data integrity and compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, organizational, and industry standards.
  5. Work closely with internal and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business financial requirements and translate them into effective data analysis and reporting solutions.
  6. Drive the development and execution of provider reimbursement strategies, enhancing brand awareness, engagement, and advocacy among medical providers.
  7. Perform ad hoc analysis to address business finance questions and support decision-making processes.
  8. Identify and implement opportunities for quality, financial, operational, and compliance process improvements through data analysis and performance monitoring.
  9. Assist the CFO and Senior Leadership Team in setting, overseeing, and managing annual strategic plans and budgets.
  10. Collaborate with the CFO and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement financial and strategic goals.
  11. Facilitate the timely delivery of accurate, quality, and value-added financial performance packages, including variance, profitability, budgets, scenario analysis, and forecasts.
  12. Partner with Compliance & Risk leadership to lead an efficient and effective Risk Management Program, identifying enterprise risks and opportunities for achieving strategic goals.
  13. Monitor, analyze, and report on the operational and financial performance of the organization, supporting responsive action strategies as necessary.
  14. Lead strategic projects as assigned by the CFO, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  15. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
