Your Opportunity:

Chewy.com is looking for a Workday Reporting Prism Architect for one of our corporate sites. In this role, you will lead the launch of Prism Analytics, as well as building capabilities for reporting, visualization, and analytics within the Workday application, support the security framework to ensure appropriate access to data, and help deliver operational efficiencies through data quality, self-service adoption, and continuous improvement for Workday reporting and analytics initiatives. You will partner across cross-functional business teams, ensuring Chewy is leveraging data assets and Workday reporting to the fullest. You will be recognized and engaged as a subject matter expert in Operational Excellence for Workday Prism, reporting solutions and insightful analytics.

In this role, you will ensure data integrity and process quality; deliver on Prism and reporting needs; manage the testing of processes to support new releases and implementations; provide application administration and security assignments; establish and maintain data / reporting audits, efficiency analysis and ensure completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of Workday reporting. This role will contribute to the development, testing, and deployment activities as part of the HR Data Operations team.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and lead the Workday Prism strategy and 3-year roadmap that will provide data solutions, insightful metrics, reporting and dashboards, by implementing and recommending use cases and adding new solutions based on best practices, business strategy, and insights objectives; establish checkpoints and tracking metrics on results and impacts
  • Serve as a Workday Prism expert with deep knowledge of current functionality, design concepts, touchpoints with relevant functional areas and in consideration of future product direction.
  • Expert in developing complex Workday Prism Pipelines, dataset management, and handling high volumes of data in and out of Workday Prism Analytics, design, develop, and implement dashboards and reports using data visualization tools such as Workday Reports, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, Prism, BIRT, and/or Worksheets to facilitate data-driven decision-making
  • Identify and implement improvements that optimize the intake, requirements gathering, data validation, data analysis, QA, and output design processes. Recommend continuous improvement enhancements to the overall system to ensure highest level of service and support
  • Develop and deliver effective training and user adoption education on Workday PRISM reporting functionality and other Workday Analytics tools, as needed
  • Assist in the monitoring of integrations between Prism and external data sources that are brought into Workday Prism
  • Apply approved data access through the assignment of configured security roles in Workday
  • Within the Workday application, assess data sources to optimize quality and accuracy of reporting output. Work cross-functionally as needed to enable data architecture and solutions that best meet the analytics and reporting needs of the business
  • Build, develop, and maintain repeatable, accurate, and credible datasets, metrics, dashboards, discovery boards and reports, which will often require leading cross-functional efforts to build alignment and standardize definitions for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), target goals, and how KPIs will be calculated, tracked and visualized
  • Communicate complex concepts to non-technical business stakeholders across the entire analytic cycle, from question identification through results interpretation, and including communication about data integrity.
  • Engage with Enterprise People Analytics, IT partners, HR project teams, Privacy/Legal and other teams to provide consultation and collaboration regarding Workday’s data assets and participate in audit, enterprise data governance and data privacy activities
  • Support the reporting assignment and appropriate security assignments for cyclical business processes such as Open Enrollment, Performance Management cycles, Compensation Planning, and all other ongoing programs and perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as assigned
  • Ensure all reporting processes are followed as documented in Sarbanes-Oxley process narratives, process flows, and control matrices. Possess strong working knowledge of international data protection and privacy standards and regulations such as GDPR
  • Collaborate in bi-annual releases, projects, and issue resolution, working with business users, IT, vendors, and other support teams to define scope, plan the testing strategy for any system changes and enhancements. Identify testing framework, test scenarios, develop test scripts, and provide key support in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Develop and maintain awareness of both current and new functionality and engage regularly in Workday online Community, submit brainstorms, keeping HR leadership abreast of relevant information
  • Provide hands-on Tier 2/3 operational support for security, testing and reporting issues, including complex questions and change requests using case management application
  • Participate in special projects with staff as directed and other duties assigned

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 – 8 years of advanced knowledge of Workday Prism Analytics, advanced reporting (i.e., matrix, composite, calculated fields, reporting drilling, bursting, BIRT, etc.), discovery boards, dashboard, worksheets, slides, data/analytics; and visualization
  • Must have experience with HCM system administration, security, and reporting. Experience across multiple Workday workstreams is a plus (HCM, Compensation, Talent, Benefits, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data visualization, and data integration techniques
  • Strong statistical, analytical, and problem-solving skills required, and HR functional experience preferred
  • Experience gathering requirements, designing, prototyping, testing and deploying solutions to meet customer requirements
  • Expertise in agile software development methodologies and their adoption within teams (Jira/Confluence)
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Visio, MS Project (or equivalent) and PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with functional and IT clients
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle daily planned and unplanned operational activities
  • Demonstrated skill in attention to detail and accuracy with data
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects efficiently and effectively irrespective of complexity level
  • Ability to present to, influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and in varying functions, while managing expectations appropriately
  • Self-starter with proven ability to work within a team-oriented environment
  • Prism Analytics Pro certification desired
  • Position may require travel
