Specific Responsibilities

The Corporate Planning Analyst, for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Corporate Planning team, reporting to the Corporate Planning Manager. This role will be primarily responsible for the following:

-Collaborate with the asset planning team and individuals within the Finance organization to prepare current and three-year planning forecasts and analysis
-Perform analysis of monthly and quarterly financial results, gaining an understanding of business performance and providing insights to relevant stakeholders 
-Support the management of Apache’s G&A budget, forecasting, and analysis
-Assist with ad hoc requests from executive and financial personnel to support budget, forecast, and strategic decisions, as well as special projects 
-Enable process improvement opportunities and projects by understanding the end-to-end processes and bringing your insights and ideas forward
-Working with confidential and market-sensitive data is an important feature of this role

Qualifications & Experience

Required Qualifications

-Bachelor's Degree majoring in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related degrees.
-Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience. 
-Propensity to learn quickly and effectively
-Effective communicator and able to build relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels of management
-Self-starter with a track record of performance and demonstrated capacity to deliver quality results under significant time pressure and tight deadlines
-Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with personal confidence to quickly build credibility, respect, and rapport
 

Preferred Qualifications

-Professional certifications are a plus (CFA, CPA, MBA, etc)
-Upstream Oil and Gas experience
-Demonstrated experience and background in FP&A or accounting
-Financial modeling experience
-Experience with the following programs:

-Anaplan
-OneStream and/or Hyperion
-SAP
 

Work Schedule
Office located in the Westchase area of Houston. Hybrid schedule with half-day Fridays and remote work on Mondays and Fridays.
