POSITION-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  • Maintain the cleanliness of office interiors, i.e., vacuum, empty wastebaskets, dust desks and countertops, dust file cabinets, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the building, i.e., vacuum, sweep, and mop common areas, as needed.
  • Perform daily maintenance of bathroom facilities, including cleaning sinks, commodes, mirrors, floors, etc.
  • Order cleaning supplies, paper goods, soap, etc., needed for the building's daily operation via the Director of Operations.
  • Keep outside grounds clean and orderly for appearance and safety, including grass cutting, snow and ice removal, salting, etc.
  • Work closely with OSHA Program Coordinator and Human Resource Manager to minimize and prevent accidents and unsafe working conditions.
  • Assist the OSHA Program Coordinator with hazardous chemical information that may be used for maintaining the building and grounds.
  • Inspect and report any noted building and grounds deterioration, such as carpet tears, tile cracks and breaks, etc.
  • Post signage as may be needed occasionally, such as slippery floor, out of order, etc.
  • Respond to and handle immediate maintenance problems, such as non-medical spills, toilet and sink overflows, drain back-ups, or other related plumbing emergencies.
  • Receives all incoming supplies, orders, and maintenance contractors. Distributes supply orders according to the ordering department or person.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education:           Ability to read and write sufficiently for job-related materials.
  • Experience:          Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel and lift. Able to handle motorized and hand equipment, such as a snow blower, lawnmower, weed trimmer, etc.

  • Language:            Comprehend and use basic language either written or spoken to communicate information and ideals.
