Training & Development Professional (210806-14)

A locally owned distributor is seeking an experienced corporate trainer/coach to join their team as a Training Manager and help facilitate and steward a culture of learning and professional development within the company. The Training Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing in-depth training programs and materials, identifying training needs within the company and determine the best training solutions, and conducting training presentations to employees.

The qualified candidate is passionate about training people in management and leadership skills, has their bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in developing, implementing, and presenting training programs in a corporate setting.

This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule. Upon hire, you will receive healthcare insurance, 401(k), PTO, employee discounts, and much more

Hours Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Location Honolulu, Oahu Pay $80,000 a year Responsibilities
  • Steward a culture of professional learning and development.
  • Create and implement in-depth training programs and materials.
  • Identify training needs within the company by collaborating with department managers and specialists.
  • Determine best training solutions by thoroughly assessing areas of need throughout company.
  • Create and maintain training manuals, guides, and supporting materials.
  • Create leadership development training programs including course materials, execution, and evaluation.
  • Present training and development programs through various methods (i.e., classroom or virtual training, on-demand presentations, etc.).
  • Maintain records of training and development programs.
  • Examine the effectiveness of training programs through surveys, assessments, and feedback.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, psychology, communications or related field, or equivalent combination and related work experience.
  • Current professional certifications for APTD, CPTD, S/PHR, SHRM-S/CP, ICF, DISC preferred.
  • Previous experience with Crucial Conversations and StrengthsFinder preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience developing, implementing, and presenting training programs in a corporate setting.
  • High level of experience with creating and implementing training programs and materials required.
  • Previous experience training diverse groups of workers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Zoom.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel to neighbor islands as needed.
  • Motivated, dependable, hard working.
