Job Overview
The Catering Manager is responsible for managing and growing the catering operations of AYG Foods, ensuring that all catering orders are fulfilled with high standards of service, quality, and timeliness. This role will involve building relationships with clients, overseeing logistics, and working closely with both the restaurant and kitchen teams to deliver a seamless catering experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in catering, strong organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Catering Sales and Client Relations
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and other potential catering customers.
- Proactively generate new business by identifying sales opportunities, participating in community events, and networking with local businesses.
- Serve as the primary contact for all catering inquiries, providing prompt and detailed responses.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, including menu preferences, dietary restrictions, and event logistics.

Event Planning and Coordination
- Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of catering orders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail.
- Work with the kitchen and restaurant teams to develop customized menus that align with client needs and company standards.
- Coordinate delivery and setup logistics for catering events, ensuring all equipment, food, and staff are prepared.
- Monitor the execution of catering events to ensure quality and service meet company standards.

Operations and Logistics
- Maintain accurate records of catering orders, payments, and client communications.
- Oversee the procurement of supplies and ensure proper inventory levels for catering operations.
- Manage the scheduling and deployment of catering staff, ensuring appropriate coverage for all events.
- Ensure that food safety and sanitation standards are adhered to throughout the catering process
Team Leadership and Development- Train, mentor, and supervise catering staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and adhere to company policies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of high-quality food items.
- Foster a positive team environment, encouraging open communication and continuous improvement.

Financial and Reporting
- Develop and manage the catering budget, including cost control measures for labor, supplies, and inventory.
- Track and report on catering sales, profitability, and client feedback.
- Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to increase efficiency and profitability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in catering management, event planning, or a related field, preferably in a quick-service restaurant setting.
- Strong customer service and sales skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple catering orders simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, staff, and management.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and catering management software (preferred).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
