Description

This position is critical to the financial health and compliance of the institution. Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial and ALCO (Asset/Liability Committee) reports in collaboration with the CFO, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial and accounting records, and managing key financial functions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including monthly financial packages and ALM report packages
  • Undertake finance-related projects as assigned by the CFO and President/CEO
  • Perform sophisticated financial analyses, including rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and budget variance analysis
  • Provide recommendations to the CFO regarding asset allocation, loan sales, and cash management strategies
  • Oversee ACH, share drafts, IRA, and Check 21 functions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Maintain expertise in regulations such as the IRA regulations, PATRIOT Act, and other savings/checking product-related regulations
  • Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering/OFAC requirements
  • Monitor various risks, including credit, interest rate, liquidity, and price risks, to ensure the Company's safety and soundness
  • Develop and maintain ALM models and methodologies, ensuring alignment with budgetary functions
  • Assist the CFO in developing and monitoring the Company's operational budget and financial planning activities
  • Maintain current knowledge of NCUA requirements and collaborate with external auditors and regulators
  • Lead and develop a professional finance and accounting team
  • Handle staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and, when necessary, discipline or discharge
  • Ensure the team is trained and compliant with pertinent regulations
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree combined with a professional certification, such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
  • 8 to 10 years of similar or related experience, preferably within a financial institution or credit union
  • This role demands a highly analytical, compliance-oriented leader with a deep understanding of financial regulations and the ability to manage complex financial operations while guiding a team towards achieving the Company's financial goals

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
