Develop threat assessments and contribute to risk mitigation planning and policy.
  • Data Collection and Evaluation: Gather, process, and analyze data to identify electronic attack activities, within large datasets that include space weather effects, unintentional RF interference and other factors that can corrupt or limit data collections. Evaluation capabilities should focus on collateral and targeted purposeful PNT disruptions. Analytics should leverage a variety of National, Interagency, Intelligence Community and FAA tools and methodologies to assess potential impacts to aircraft, space launch vehicles, commercial satellites and ATC systems.
  • Countermeasure/Mitigation Support: Possess capability to assess and communicate threats and vulnerabilities in support of risk mitigation planning and deliberations to protect critical PNT dependent systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on electronic attack threats to help inform effective countermeasures or mitigation efforts for electronic threats targeted or collateral effects on aircraft and aviation systems.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, researchers, security specialists, civil aircraft operators and military personnel, to share insights, findings, and recommendations. Provide clear and concise reports on electronic attack threats and countermeasure effectiveness.
  • Broad policies and objectives provide general guidance for addressing issues. Draws on experience to solve unusual problems and may create new solutions and policy interpretations as the situation requires.
