This position is only 2 steps down from the Chief Risk Officer and provides high visibility. You will play a critical role in helping inform the Sr. Director of Strategic/Reputational Risk, the CRO, and the Board of Directors of the risks inherent in the Bank's actions and decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Improve and formalize reporting procedures for risk committees/boards, emphasizing accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.
  • Advance risk governance by enhancing the clarity and utility of reports while maintaining comprehensive, focused agendas.
  • Implement enterprise-wide processes for identifying and assessing risks, ensuring alignment and coherence between top-down and bottom-up approaches, as well as quarterly and annual assessments.
  • Administer risk committee tasks, including agenda coordination, meeting minutes, follow-ups, and charter reviews.
  • Continuously oversee and challenge Strategic and Reputational Risk RCSAs, issues, and Risk Appetite levels/KRIs.
  • Strengthen, implement, and document Strategic Risk management initiatives such as Strategic Plan Risk Assessment, monitoring of plan implementation, reporting on top and emerging risks, and KRI development and monitoring for committee/board purposes.
  • Enhance, operationalize, and document Reputational Risk management initiatives including client/vendor selection, KRI development and monitoring, and reporting for committee/board purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • 12 years+ of experience in Risk Management, Internal Audit, or Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory obligations, rules, and industry standards
  • Experience with enterprise-wide change management initiatives
