Required Skills & Experience:

Proficiency in Python programming language for backend development Experience designing and implementing data pipelines and cloud-based solutions Strong understanding of database systems and data modeling concepts Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Desired Skills & Experience:

Prior experience in commodities trading, energy markets, or financial analytics Familiarity with technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or AWS services Knowledge of quantitative finance concepts and pricing models Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a passion for continuous learning and innovation

What You Will Be Doing:

Tech Breakdown:

60% backend development and data engineering 30% implementing data pipelines and cloud infrastructure 10% collaborating with cross-functional teams on feature development

Daily Responsibilities:

Designing and developing scalable backend systems to process and analyze large datasets Implementing data pipelines and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to integrate new features and algorithms into the platform Participating in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning sessions
