The Sr. HR Director - HR Operations will provide operational oversight to all HR operations including HRIS and Payroll and lead the implementation of the Workday HCM system. Under limited direction, you will work with all areas of HR and beyond to ensure harmonization as it relates to globally-minded HR policies and procedures, as well as the leadership of HR analytics and data reporting capabilities. This is a key role that will have immediate and significant impact on building out the future of our HR Operations programs.

What you will do:

  • Lead the implementation of the Workday HCM system
  • Deliver thought leadership to ensure systems and solutions are aligned with the broader Human Resource activities and priorities
  • Deliver payroll management excellence throughout Daikin Applied
  • Work with Daikin sister companies on driving best and common practices
  • Support HR leadership team to identify business challenges and use data analysis to help influence changes to operations, process, or programs
  • Identify areas of opportunity to improve HR processes, functionality and work flow
  • Maximize technological capabilities to reduce manual processes and improve data management and efficiency
  • Assess current processes to identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, and optimize performance
  • Identify and implement broader operational self-service improvements, working in conjunction with HR leadership
  • Maintain awareness of vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans on current and future HR systems functionality
  • Oversee the roll-out plans, communications plans, training needs, and other materials related to HR systems
  • Manage the relationship with the payroll system provider, maintain the accurate HRIS data and files on the company's payroll and employee records
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations

Minimum Qualifications

4 Year Degree from an accredited institution

Masters Degree in HR or other related field

10 plus years of experience

  • Knowledgeable in data visualization techniques, dashboard, analytics tools, and methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of HR business processes
  • Ability to put complex processes into clear recommendations, use data to generate insights and recommendations
  • Skilled in managing and influencing through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask and meet defined deadlines
  • Experience with Workday
  • Previous involvement in system implementation
