Role of an Account Manager


As an account manager at Sky Systemz, your primary responsibility is to welcome new merchants to our platform, ensure they can successfully run credit card payments, and build strong relationships with them. After a sales representative closes a deal, the account management team takes over to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing support.


Key Responsibilities


  • Implement New Merchant Accounts: Guide new merchants through the onboarding process, assisting with necessary documentation and setup to ensure a smooth transition onto our platform.

  • Train Merchants on Sky Systemz Software and Hardware: Provide comprehensive training to new merchants on the features and functionalities of Sky Systemz software and hardware, ensuring they are fully equipped to utilize our platform effectively.

  • Upsell Various SaaS Features: Identify opportunities to enhance merchant accounts by introducing additional value-added services (SaaS features) that align with their business needs, contributing to revenue growth.

  • Collaborate with Support Staff: Work closely with our support team to promptly address and resolve merchant inquiries, technical issues, and concerns.

  • Proactive Merchant Communication: Regularly engage with merchants to offer support, address questions, and build strong relationships, thereby enhancing client satisfaction and retention.

  • Drive Client Retention: Ensure merchant accounts remain active and engaged by understanding their evolving needs and providing tailored solutions.

  • Gather Referrals and Testimonials: Utilize your customer relationship skills to gather referrals from satisfied merchants and obtain testimonials for marketing and promotional purposes.

Qualifications:


  • Four year Bachelor degree or equivalent.
  • ( Preferred but not required ) Proven experience in account management, customer success, or a related client-facing role.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with merchants, internal teams, and partners.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
  • Problem-solving attitude with the ability to proactively identify and address merchant needs.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to learn and Proficiently utilize HubSpot and various internal software platforms.
  • Availability for occasional travel to meet with merchants onsite.
