Shawsheen Coating & Converting Inc. seeks an industrious and self-motivated Custodian & Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Andover, Massachusetts. The Custodian & Maintenance Assistant will be instrumental in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility, including grounds and fixtures, in addition to contributing to a safe working environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors building and grounds to ensure a neat and clean presentation and environment.
Keep working areas in production departments, office areas, breakrooms, restrooms, and outside grounds in a clean and orderly condition.
Executing written and verbal instructions/procedures to maintain a clean facility.
Performing minor maintenance tasks and custodial duties, including safely using hazardous cleaning chemicals.
Operating light maintenance equipment (i.e., floor waxers, mowers, etc.)
Order custodial supplies and complete paperwork.
Troubleshooting and identifying possible facility repairs.
Reporting the need for any major repairs to management.
Reporting and repairing emergency maintenance problems and/or environmental hazards immediately.
Replenishing supplies and keeping inventory of supplies.
Ensure security of building during and after completed jobs and report any security violations to management.
Accept re-assignment to any other job or task for which you have accepted training and for which you have been compensated.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.

BENEFITS: Shawsheen offers an excellent benefits package after 60 days of employment, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays and sick time, and eligibility for 401(k) after 6 months.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
2-5 years of Industrial Custodial and/or Maintenance experience preferred.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
