Position Summary
The primary functions of this position are first related to SAP responsibilities in the assigned area, ensuring that all
materials are issued and closed out correctly and efficiently across the area, as well as continuous improvement efforts
and projects across the plant in a timely manner, observing all safety regulations, ensuring all efficiency and quality
standards are met and maintained throughout the process.
Essential Functions
• Obtain work schedule, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
• Ensure that all materials are issued and closed out correctly and efficiently across the assigned unit.
• Partner with scheduling and management to understand schedules and related activities.
• Performs a daily shift change walk thru with the preceding shift’s SAP specialist.
• Responsible for printing out PSA’s and conducting a walk thru at beginning of shift.
• Conducts final confirmations at the end of process orders and reviews each confirmation with supervisor before
leaving the shift.
• Checks operations for “phantom” pallets, and responsible for fixing all problem pallets created during
designated shift.
• Ensure all receipts are received that arrived and were unloaded on designated shift and ensures all process
orders are calculated and entered into SAP properly and timely.
• Responsible for fixing all COGI errors that show up on designated shift.
• Performs a variety of inventory for WIP categories on a weekly basis or as needed.
• Performs end of shift walk thru with on-coming SAP specialist.
• Responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring new and existing employees with SAP.
• Responsible for continuous improvement efforts and projects across the plant, Centerline, 5S, focused
improvement and other related tasks.
• Create documents, reports, flow charts and statistical graphs and forward to appropriate management teams.
• Communicate effectively with department Supervisors, Maintenance, QA, Warehouse, and upper Management.
• Participate in off-shift projects as requested.
• Input data, develop production spread sheets, prepare, and edit memos, charts, graphs, reports, and other
correspondence on an accurate and timely basis.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports and distribute in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education/Experience)
• Associates degree in Business Management or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience years.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in material master data management in a fast-paced manufacturing
environment.
• Experience working with SAP (or equivalent ERP systems).
• Progressive experience in SAP.
• Significant experience in inventory management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
