Job Summary:
Bechtel is seeking a talented, energetic, ambitious Automation Engineer who wants to join our Digital Delivery team in Reston, VA. As an Automation Engineer, you will work with various projects in understanding and implementing their data integration and automation needs.
The position offer ample opportunity to "make a difference" in global execution of projects.
Major Responsibilities:
-Manage and
support
Bechtel data integration platforms; includes, but is not limited to DataBroker, Datum360, EIS, and Oracle PIF
-Manage Inspec and guide the Application
Support
Group on
support
issues
-Ensures data integration is implemented on projects in accordance with
corporate
standards and the project automation plan
-Coordinates with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Project Controls and other departments to resolve integration issues
-Recommends project integration adjustments in coordination with the project IS&T, EGSs, and the Project Engineering Manager
-Work with DEP on EIS deployment, bug identification and enhancements
-Drive standardization of integration across the corporation
-Provide user training for data automation and integration
-Maintain configuration management and compliance for data automation and integration
-Lead in testing integration solutions
Education and Experience Requirements:

-Degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Management from an accredited college or university
-5+ years of experience in automation and integration
-Experience in enterprise integration platforms
-Experience with cross-functional applications used with data integration
-Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle databases and MS SQL databases
Required Knowledge and Skills:
-Intermediate knowledge of other Bechtel
corporate
work process and applications (cross-functional)
-Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
-Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to
determine
appropriate action
-Ability to build productive and collaborative internal/external working relationships
-Ability to resolve complex technical issues related to data integration
-Advanced knowledge of data management
-Customer focused
-Ability to write detailed procedures
-Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time and meet schedules
-Experience configuring and
supporting
Inspec
-Experience with data modeling and normalization
-Experience with Power BI and Business Intelligence
-Good working knowledge of Engineering and Construction industry codes and standards
-Experience in Engineering and Construction work processes and tools
-Exposure to integration standards such as COBie, CHIFOS, IFC and ISO 15926
-Understanding of micro services architecture
-Understanding of Ontologies and experience in data modeling
-Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools (Jira)
