Serve as a Health System Specialist and subject matter expert in Healthcare Risk Manager (HRM) for the Defense Health Network (DHN) with expertise in all technical and functional issues related to HRM programs.
Coordinates all HRM healthcare risk management activities regarding Quality Assurance directly pertaining to delivery of health care and works collaboratively and closely with the network Chief Medical Officer and HQ DHA HRM Program.
Provides technical assistance and guidance to include on-site and virtual visits as necessary.
Uses HRM programs and/or other Personal Computer (PC) based application programs to develop statistical and other reports for the DHA staff and other agencies as required.
Advisor and primary point of contact for provider adverse action and adverse event management within the DHN.
Review and coordinate Healthcare Risk Management cases at MTF level and those elevated to the DHN level to ensure accuracy and inclusiveness of documentation.
Regularly brief DHN leadership on HRM case status within their network.
Work closely in association with other programs within the DHN to support a comprehensive strategy.
Track efficiency of the HRM process; recommends and implements procedural improvements.
