As a Senior Equipment Engineer you will be responsible for improving stability and general performance of assigned production equipment in Thin Films section of semiconductor manufacturing facility.  Responsibilities include:  1) leading production equipment troubleshooting and availability improvement, prioritizing urgent tool recoveries; 2) performing and reporting on long-term improvement projects; 3) developing and maintaining training material and standard operating procedures; 4) contributing to team discussions, actively listening to engineer and technician counterparts; 5) initiating projects to improve efficiency through maintenance methods, data collection, and reporting; 6) taking safety risks seriously and devising methods to minimize; 7) leading projects to reduce costs and improve production equipment throughput; 8) preparing contingency action plans when solution is uncertain.

 

While this position is scheduled to work core business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday, there may be times when additional hours are necessary.

 

 

REQUIRMENTS: 

  • Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, and
  • Two (2) years of senior level Thin Film Equipment Engineering experience in a semiconductor manufacturing facility; or
  • Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, and
  • Five (5) years of senior level Thin Film Equipment Engineering experience in a semiconductor manufacturing facility.
  • Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.

Pay Transparency / Benefits statement 
At TSMC, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role typically pays a base salary between $121,000 and $155,000 per year. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience, and the position level.  TSMC’s total compensation package consists of market competitive pay, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits. We also offer extensive development opportunities and programs.
