The Analog Garage is ADI's Research and Advanced Development Center in downtown Boston and empowers ADI by pioneering breakthrough technologies. The Deep Tech Architecture group within the Analog Garage is applying leading–edge circuit design, device design, and nano–scale fabrication technologies to develop innovative solutions to big societal problems.
The Deep Tech Architecture group is seeking a motivated, experienced Lead Neurotechnology Research Scientist to join our team developing disruptive solutions for big challenges in health of human, health of planet, autonomy & intelligence, and other strategic focus areas for ADI. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in neuroscience, neurobiology, or a related field. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of biologically–inspired computing and sensing systems, leveraging ADI's broad range of advanced semiconductor technologies.
Responsibilities include one or more of the following:
Research and Innovation: Propose novel architectures and algorithms inspired by the human brain based on your existing expertise in the neuroscience of memory and learning. Collaboration: Work closely with cross–functional teams, including hardware/digital/mixed–signal engineers, software/algorithm developers, and biologists, to integrate and optimize neuromorphic technologies. Data Analysis and Simulation: Utilize simulation tools and data analysis techniques to model and test neural systems. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive documentation and technical reports on project progress, methodologies, and outcomes. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the neuroscience of memory and learning, neuromorphic computing and sensing, artificial intelligence, and related fields to continuously improve the team's capabilities.Qualifications
Education:
A PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Neurotechnology, or a related field. Exposure to neuromorphic computing and sensing is a plus.Experience:
Extensive experience in electrophysiology, including hands–on experience with neural cell recordings and data analysis (in vivo or in vitro neural recording techniques). Experience working with animal models performing brain function research. Understanding of computational neuroscience and experience with neural network modeling is nice to have. Familiarity with signal processing techniques and tools. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast–paced research environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Publication record in relevant peer–reviewed journals.Soft Skills:
