This includes working closely with other business areas to understand and adapt to changes in source files/processes (especially important is to understand the overall process flow and environment so you can identify when such proposed changes will impact the statistical reporting area). This position requires a high degree of competency in both leadership as well as hands on data engineering work.

You will work closely with Business Compliance, Corporate Compliance, Actuary, Controllers, Accounting, and other Data areas in order to understand and improve/modernize multiple current data environments (especially mainframe/FOCUS based environments) to use a more modern approach in order to provide more flexible, easier to navigate, and more readily accessible data for our business partners and regulatory agencies. A key responsibility is the collection, curation, and balancing of data across all property casualty lines of business (Commercial, Farm, Home, Auto, Umbrella, etc.).

You and the members of your team will use your technical aptitude to develop, update, and execute automated data gathering, manipulation, and reporting in order to ensure we meet all of our data reporting requirements on time, on budget, as well as being responsible for curating data from a variety of diverse modern and legacy systems.

This role will both oversee and participate in the day-to-day work needed to research, analyze, design, develop, modernize, test, and implement systems solutions to meet a wide range of data reporting requirements and timelines as defined by regulatory bodies, internal business partners, and contractual obligations.
