Under general supervision, you will provide reporting, consulting, and analysis for the Client Valuation Reporting group within the Client Accounting Practice (CAP). CAP is comprised of partners who support Northern Trust business in conjunction with our global network of operational partners professionally. You will be assigned a client desk load within Client Valuation Reporting and will be responsible for ensuring reporting and client requests are delivered in a timely an accurate manner.

The Team:

  • Client Valuation Reporting includes multiple client segments: Corporate ERISA, Not-for-Profit, Public Funds, and Wealth Management
  • Each segment has 5-6 Senior Analysts who report to a Team Lead and 1-2 Technical Coordinators who, along with the Team Lead, report to the Section Manager
  • You will be part of a team who is highly supportive of one another and frequently share ideas, training, and general conversation
  • We have a diverse team of knowledge, experience, and skills which help us surround client needs and create innovative solutions

Major Duties:

  • Ensures that the team/divisions goals for accuracy and timeliness are maintained
  • Escalates relevant and critical issues to management and all required partner areas in a timely manner
  • Reviews and maintains all roles and deadlines for assigned relationships
  • Follows core procedures, checklists and client specific procedures on a daily and monthly basis
  • Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
  • May have direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management
  • Works in tandem with other Analysts, Consultants, and Team Leaders from multiple Northern Trust partner areas to analyze, validate, and prepare client reporting
  • Monitors daily exceptions and reports, and reviews other applications to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all client information
  • Delivers client reporting on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis per the clients’ service agreements
  • More technically sound in area of expertise and has broader knowledge of other areas
  • Delivers a work product that requires less revision
  • Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions

Knowledge:

  • Proven Analytical and Problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication along with strong organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • In-depth Client Accounting/Industry Knowledge is required
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Experience:

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Client facing experience with the ability to present detailed concepts
