Position Summary:

Provide staffing oversight to ensure adequate coverage to support customer operations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Responsible for the performance of staff and ensuring that services at the location follow standard operating procedures to meet operational requirements. Provide assistance to customer Management on various projects and routinely communicate with the customer Coordinators on daily operations.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Conduct daily quality assurance reviews by monitoring real-time and recorded audio communications to assist with improving dispatcher performance and identify training needs.
  • Perform data analysis of customer systems, providing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year reports to customer management; Produces charts, tables, spreadsheets, presentations, and other documents using various software packages.
  • Provide weekly staffing schedules by close of business the Friday before the work week begins.
  • Provide training to all staff.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the staff.
  • Communicate orally and in writing to convey information in a clear and concise manner (i.e., verbal communication, email, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations).

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI) USPIS Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a MBI Clearance.
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or 2 years of relevant Law Enforcement or similar experience in a Law Enforcement Command Center/Dispatch environment.
  • Prior management experience.
  • Ability to write reports and document events in a concise and accurate manner, including proofreading for grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English fluently.
  • Computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 words per minute.
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior dispatching experience.
  • Prior experience with alarm monitoring and computer-aided dispatch software is desirable.
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting data, producing reports/presentations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good organizational skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle conflict in stressful situations and maintain professionalism.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example in modeling the safety behaviors and attitude expected by Amentum.
  • Ensure employees comply with EHS policies and requirements by frequently visually verifying compliance. Immediately engage employee not in compliance.
  • Participate in injury management, incident investigation, cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Recognize employees for their work contributions regularly through informal and formal recognition.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

This position regularly works in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting. This role may require extended periods of sitting and monitoring computer monitors. This role requires the ability to hear ordinary telephone and radio conversations with either ear. This role may move equipment weighing up to 20 pounds occasionally.
