BASF’s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, decorative paints as well as applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates in a wide range of industries. We are seeking a professional like you to join our team and be responsible for managing all processes and systems used for raw material, finished goods or production scheduling. You will be responsible for converting planned orders generated from Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) into purchase orders or transfer orders for raw materials, identifying raw materials availability issues and taking actions to minimize impact on production schedule and cost of schedule changes and interfacing with Production, Finished Goods Planner, Warehousing and Procurement in our plants in Windsor, Ontario, Greenville, OH and Tultitlan, Mexico.

  • Balancing the supply and demand of the assigned raw material portfolio and optimizing inventory levels throughout the supplychain while adhering to target.
  • Managing the replenishment of raw materials for the site in support of inventory targets and supplier delivery capability andreliability goals.
  • Monitoring orders, stock status and MRP exception messages, ensuring materials are available to support businessrequirements.
  • Managing and pro-actively auditing master data, including purchasing agreements and article extensions.
  • Interfacing with suppliers and Production regarding available to promise and backorders.
  • Addressing demand or supply imbalances for new product launches, business growth initiatives, and shortages.
  • Managing dysfunctional inventories and recommend appropriate actions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or STEM field.
  • 3+ years experience in supply chain planning or business-related field.
  • SAP ERP experience.
  • Strong customer focus, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to make value-added contributions in cross-functional project teams and drive innovation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and Power BI, with strong analytical thinking capability and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
