POSITION SUMMARY

The Sourcing and Procurement Analyst at Sun Communities is essential in shaping and executing our supply chain initiatives. The analyst will be tasked with identifying suppliers and solutions that align with the strategic needs of our supply chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivates a comprehensive understanding of assigned categories and formulates sourcing strategies that reflect market dynamics, organizational goals, and total cost considerations.
  • Evaluates and computes product/service and procurement expenses to devise cost-saving strategies.
  • Influences purchasing decisions by ensuring that selected suppliers meet performance standards and procurement objectives, while developing solutions that enhance supplier partnerships.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to uncover and pursue opportunities for product and service enhancements, focusing on standardization and efficiency improvements.
  • Oversees and coordinates cross-functional RFI and RFP processes that align with business goals, ensuring clear communication throughout the organization.
  • Engages in negotiations with key suppliers, considering all facets of a successful partnership, including pricing, terms of service, and quality standards.
  • Guarantees the effective rollout of sourced products, services, and supplier initiatives by applying sound project and change management principles.
  • Gathers feedback on supplier performance from team members to ensure alignment with expectations.
  • Monitors and evaluates supplier performance, maintaining a focus on overall value, including quality, service responsiveness, process efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identifies and escalates significant external relationships that may impact supply chain operations and decision-making processes.
  • Ensures adherence to sourcing and procurement policies and best practices.
  • Plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing efficient procurement processes and tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline. (Required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant sourcing and procurement experience.
  • Team-oriented individual who embodies hospitality and has a genuine passion for collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to creatively solve problems and demonstrate effective leadership and communication abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the capability to identify and address key stakeholder needs.
  • Self-motivated individual with a flexible, proactive approach and sound judgment.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement with extensive knowledge and experience in sourcing and procurement processes and systems.
  • Willingness to travel to foster and maintain strategic sourcing relationships.
  • Proficient in supply chain management and negotiation techniques.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Experience in project management.
