This is a temporary assignment with the potential for hire. It starts on September 1st, 2024 and ends on March 31st, 2025. Our client is seeking a temporary mid-level accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accounting processes, maintaining financial records, and providing support to the finance department. Parking will be provided for $50 a month out of pocket, or you may find street parking.

Hours Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm or 7:30am-4:30pm Location Honolulu, Oahu Responsibilities
  • Create accounting processes and templates for the team.
  • Train staff on data analysis functions.
  • Verify, allocate, and post transactions accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile subsidiary accounts and prepare trial balance.
  • Transfer subsidiary account summaries to the general ledger.
  • Maintain historical records in a neat and systemic manner.
  • Prepare financial reports by analyzing and summarizing account information.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of yearly reviews.
  • Handle special projects as requested by management.
  • Provide regular updates to Controller and Assistant Controller on department status.
Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of accounts receivable experience required.
  • Retail support experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Data analytics experience required.
  • Great verbal and writing communication skills.
  • Ability to train and support staff effectively.
