We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role will primarily involve assisting healthcare professionals in providing patient care and administrative support in a clinical setting. While receptionist experience is preferred, it is not necessary as we are willing to train the right candidate. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Pay range: $19-$26/hour
Monday- Friday
No weekends
Clinic setting- In person daily
Day Shift
No evenings

Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other pertinent information.
Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures.
Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as phlebotomy and EKGs.
Administer medications and injections under the direction of healthcare providers.
Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic.
Greet patients and visitors, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
Verify patient insurance information and process insurance forms.
Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with medical records management, including filing, scanning, and updating patient records.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a medical assistant training program or certification preferred, but not required for candidates with relevant experience.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role preferred.
Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities.
