Title: QC Lab Technician

Location: East Rutherford, NJ area

Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday, Full time, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Type: Contract to Hire

Responsibilities

  • Lab testing and organizing paperwork, scanning, then filing them properly

  • Perform daily evaluation and approval of finished product, raw materials, and intermediates

  • Work as team with other technicians to ensure timely reporting of results

  • Report and record all results in a timely manner. Maintain proper database and generate appropriate statistical analyses via use of computer

  • Communicate effectively to all supervisors, co-workers and plant personnel

  • Perform all tests timely, accurately and responsibly by signing all conforming reports and alerting plant managers and QA management of non-conformances

  • Offer ideas and plans for improvement and point out deficiencies in the laboratory especially in the areas of specifications and procedures

  • Maintain a working inventory of all lab supplies and chemicals

  • Accurately calibrate, control and maintain lab instruments

  • Develop computer skills

  • Provide timely results of non-routine samples

  • Will perform other projects or assignments within the Quality Department

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements

  • BS Chemistry or related science preferred

  • Few months up to 3 years hands-on experience in a QC laboratory (recent graduates will be considered pending overall undergraduate experience)

  • Wet Chemistry - Scales, titration, viscometer

  • Ability to work in a team environment.
