Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to work on a wide portfolio of large-scale (multi-billion dollar) construction management programs for key clients, including Real Estate, Data Centers, High-Tech & Manufacturing, Infrastructure, etc. 

To be successful in this position you must have great communication skills and be comfortable operating in a client-facing role. 

Job Objectives: 

  • Developing cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design. 
  • Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones. 
  • Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologies and prepare estimates within 
  • appropriate accuracy levels. 
  • Understanding design stages and estimate levels. 
  • Providing commercial input to design optioneering and input into value engineering 
  • exercises. 
  • Preparing cash commit forecasts for the construction life cycle. 
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders in the preparation of estimates/ cost plans. 
  • Analyzing labor markets and cost drivers such as Unions & Tax. 
  • Supporting our clients with monthly presentations. 
  • Delivering Life Cycle Costing models. 
  • Benchmarking integration to ensure accurate data capture. 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working in a construction cost role and developing estimates throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Experience managing others. 
  • College and/or post-graduate degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction. 
  • Excellent communicator and thrives in a client facing role. 
  • Experience developing program level estimates for medium or large scale construction projects. 
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering. 

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $140K-$165K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package.  Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
