The District Commercial Specialist (DCS) - Energy is a key commercial support role responsible for sales interface support and decision-making between suppliers, operations, customer service and procurement. This entails driving growth and profitability improvement through price, cost management, analytics and data driven decision making. The DCS supports sales management and sales allowing these positions to execute on the sales growth strategy. This role reports to the Energy Commercial Manager. 
 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Price and Profitability analysis: 

-Review transactions at a district level and make recommendations to improve profitability 

-In-depth review of product cost, price supports, freight charges, buy strategy and supply plan to determine optimal sell price 

-Transactional accuracy review and identify where corrections are needed 

-Calculations of margin, and costing of blends and customer specific costing. 

Sourcing: 

-Sourcing Requests (new & existing products) 

-Identify and communicate opportunity the need for new material setup and submit PIM request. 

-Responsible for making routine updates to plant and 3rd party cost contracts  

-UPI (Unproductive Inventory) review and resolution activities for the district 

Reporting: 

-Use Tableau for invoice review, and other reports for inventory purposes 

-Monthly accrual reporting with Accounting. 

-Use excel to create reports to review business, and create tables  

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

-HS Diploma or equivalent 

-Minimum 4 years of relevant experience 

-Strong discernment, analytical and problem-solving skills 

-Broad knowledge of chemical distribution – sales, marketing, financial, procurement 

-Experience in the Energy industry is a plus 

-Prior experience with SAP/ERP systems strongly preferred 

-Highly proficient in MS Office applications especially MS Excel 

-Positive attitude with demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills 

-Able to work independently, manage priorities, and take on new tasks
