The Community Engagement Specialist for DC3 acts as the liaison between the organization (Full Sail DC3 Education) and its audience (students). They provide community support, content distribution, and digital engagement to build brand presence and trust, both online and in-person.
The Community Specialist oversees and provides support for the Full Sail Online platform, content creation guidelines for select users (Facilitators, SME's and students), and maintains connections between all necessary departments to properly navigate any escalation issues, including comment moderation in Topics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with instructional design team to create immersive educational experiences and enhance instructional content

  • Research and implement new technologies into instructional program that maximize student engagement

  • Actively build connections within the Full Sail DC3 student community, as well as alumni, facilitators and SME's when applicable

  • Manage comment moderation and escalation processes on Full Sail Online

  • Maintain the Community Guidelines for Full Sail Online

  • Assist with hiring and training of moderators as necessary

  • Assist with selection and training of facilitators and staff moderators as necessary

  • Provide recurring internal training as necessary for others involved in DC3 Education

Other Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison to the student, staff, and facilitators and moderate interaction between all programs, and clubs.

  • Collaborate with Internal Communications team on all relevant content

  • Help organize and participate in events to build community and boost brand awareness.

  • Create targeted content to be published for prospective students, current students, and alumni.

  • Develop and implement community promotion and engagement strategies.

Competencies:

  • Skilled in persuasively reaching diverse audiences ranging from prospective students to graduates to senior executives

  • Proficiency in using social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn

  • Strong written, oral, and social communication

  • Adaptability, creativity, and sound judgment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction at times.

  • Excellent writing, multi-tasking, time-management, interpersonal/communication skills

  • Demonstrated discretion and excellent judgment, with the ability to interact comfortably and professionally with all levels of stakeholders

  • Passionate about mission-driven work

  • Hype-person

  • Has can-do, team-player spirit

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Emerging Technology or Media Communications

  • Instructional Design experience(preferred)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • N/A

Computer/Equipment Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Familiar with task tracking and organization suites

  • Experience with building in LMS platforms

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands:

Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, and stooping.
