ROLE SUMMARY
The Operational and Change Excellence T&OE (Transformation and Operations Excellence) Lead is a key member of the Operational & Change Excellence team within the Transformation & Ops Excellence Medical Global Platform. They combine organizational expertise with an understanding of T&OE strategic priorities to ensure coordination with the Medical Engagement & Impact (MEI), Real World Evidence (RWE), and the Categories (e.g. Specialty Care, Internal Medicine, Vaccines )and compliant and efficient execution of plans in the T&OE organization. Broadly, their main objective is to:
Represent the T&OE organization to drive a smooth transition to the new ways of working and facilitate T&OE change management.
Provide robust strategic, operational, and budgetary support to the T&OE organization.
To this end, the Operational and Change Excellence T&OE Lead will:
Lead efforts on behalf of the T&OE CMAO and the MEI and RWE groups to establish / optimize / evolve the team to ensure alignment, and monitor efficiency, effectiveness & compliance.
Independently lead implementation of new ways of working and ensure dissemination of T&OE change management communications within the T&OE organization
Represent Global Transformation & Ops Excellence Medical Platform and serves as key point of coordination and communication between Category, MEI, and RWE.
Provide strategic guidance to T&OE colleagues focused on the delivery of high priority projects and senior management requests.
Represent the T&OE organization in cross functional forums including with commercial teams.
Lead budget management and the Operating Plan development to ensure T&OE MA resources are well balanced to meet strategic objectives both internally and externally.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operational and Change Excellence T&OE Lead will provide operational support to the and partner with the T&OE Leadership Team (LT) to ensure efficient functioning of the T&OE organization and drive its strategic direction
Governance
Support effective governance processes/meetings, including T&OE LT, & other medical governance committees
Responsible for end to end fit for purpose governance planning/execution.
Provide thought partnership to MEI, RWE, Category Medical Affairs on key issues and topics.
Help address & coordinate resolution of requests from various stakeholders.
Work and align with key internal stakeholders to ensure consistencies.
Strategy Development
Lead efforts in partnership with T&OE LT for development of 3-5 year T&OE Vision, Strategy & Goals.
Provide thought partnership to MEI, RWE, Category Medical Affairs on strategic & operational issues / topics.
Lead and/or provide strategic direction for project teams on T&OE critical initiatives.
Define project scope, set strategic goals/objectives & develop project execution plans with clearly defined milestones/metrics.
Drive change & transformations, working collaboratively with T&OE colleagues, cross-functional Category & other stakeholders as well as senior leaders to deliver actionable solutions to resolve complex challenges.
Effectively facilitate/influence complex & strategic conversations.
The Operational and Change Excellence T&OE Lead will guide the T&OE organization to provide robust operational support for ensuring compliant & efficient functioning.
Operational and Budgetary support for T&OE organization
Lead annual Operating Plan for the T&OE Category, working closely with T&OE colleagues, finance, Planning & Impact team, Finance, Commercial, and other stakeholders
Lead development of Operating Plan communication for T&OE LT
Lead and oversee all budgetary T&OE operations, including budgets
Ensuring timely contracting and meeting all financial spend targets related to medical activities and projects
Lead resource forecasting and tracking to ensure spending is aligned with budget targets
Lead efforts for development of T&OE specific transparent budget/resource planning and allocation algorithms/models, as well as manage resource planning, allocation & staffing
Lead planning/co-ordination of offshore resources, as needed
The Operational and Change Excellence T&OE Lead will represent the Global Transformation & Ops Excellence Medical Platform and partner with the T&OE LT to drive implementation of new ways of working
Operating Model & Ways of Working
Lead communication of new ways of working on behalf of Global Transformation & Ops Excellence Medical Platform for the T&OE Organization, in close collaboration with the Change Management Lead.
Drive implementation, maintenance & optimization of T&OE new operating model on behalf of Transformation & Ops Excellence Medical Platform.
Ensure Operational Excellence team is following new ways of working when supporting the T&OE Organization.
Coordination with Global Transformation & Ops Excellence Medical Platform
Represent T&OE in cross functional forums including with T&OE commercial teams.
Lead communication between MEI, RWE, and T&OE Organization.
Communicate updates to target operating model to T&OE Organization.
Respond to inquiries from T&OE Organization on Global platform services, new ways of working and T&OE change management efforts.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree (e.g., masters) highly preferred. Relevant experience required: 10+ years with bachelor's degree; 8+ years with masters degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

8 years of experience in Project Management, Business Operations
Prior experience in Medical Affairs is highly preferred.

8 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or related fields
Previous people management experience preferred
Understanding and adherence to Project Management methodologies
Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently with shown flexibility and organizational awareness
Ability to create & oversee complex projects, including budget management & fiscal awareness
Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple functions including Medical (Customer Facing and HQ), Medical Information, Corporate Communications, Digital, and Commercial
Must be decisive, exercise good judgment in decisions, organized and with the ability to prioritize a large workload.
Ability to manage resources, programs and multiple projects.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
