We are looking for a highly-motivated, analytical, strategy professional to join the Monetization Strategy team within the Business Strategy & Insights organization. Our Monetization Strategy team focuses on solving strategic questions regarding Spotify’s global pricing and packaging strategy, as well as building strategic financial business cases for new offerings.


In this role, you will help to drive the future of Spotify’s Premium subscription business, by conducting research and analysis, building financial business cases, and synthesizing findings to present to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have a deep expertise in strategic analyses and financial modeling, as well as exceptional presentation skills. This is a high-impact role and offers the opportunity to make significant contributions to Spotify’s overall business strategy. 

What you’ll do

  • Assist in building data-driven, scenario-based models to evaluate the business impact of a multitude of strategic initiatives
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects to understand consumer needs to build attractive new offerings to our current user base
  • Author and design presentations and briefing documents for Spotify leadership
  • Provide analytical and financial modeling support on strategic monetization projects
  • Identify and evaluate key market and competitive trends
  • Partner with our data science and research teams, to drive strategic insights and recommendations

Who you are

  • A strategy professional with 3 years of prior experience at a top strategy consulting firm or bulge bracket investment bank
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills
  • Strong communication skills with track record of presenting to senior leadership
  • Self-starter who is analytically detailed with the ability to problem-solve through a high degree of ambiguity
  • Experience with SQL, Big Query a plus
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field that demonstrates strategy and data-driven decision-making

Where You'll Be

  • Where in the world? This role will be based in our NYC office

The United States base range for this position is $123,590 to $154,487, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
