Responsibilities:

The Systems Simulation, Software and Integration (S3I) Directorate is seeking a Senior
Communication / Network Field Engineer candidate in support of the Terminal High Altitude
Area Defense (THAAD) Interoperability Team at Redstone Arsenal. This individual will be
responsible for providing technical expertise for tactical communications equipment in support
of research, development and integration efforts.
The candidate must be willing to travel CONUS/OCONUS with short
notification times to support the Warfighter. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the Missile Defense Agency with the Deployment, Testing, Integration and
Upgrading of the THAAD missile system equipment pieces of the Tactical Operations
Station (TOS) and Launch Control System (LCS)Follow detailed test procedures in a fast-paced field environment.Travel to various location specified by the Missile Defense Agency in support of THAAD
operations and testing.Deploy and provide support for various Tactical Communications systems

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and 8+ years of experience - 14+ years of related experience can be considered in lieu of degree Active Secret ClearanceAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.Good interpersonal skills.Deep understanding of Tactical Communications Systems and/or Tactical Networking.The ability to support mission requirements during evenings and weekends as scheduled.Must be physically fit with an ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds with little to no assistance.Must have experience integrating and deploying LOS and SATCOM related systems in
one or more of the following: SMART-T, SNAP, CPN, and JNN.Ability to create and edit configurations for CISCO routers, switches, and firewalls as it
pertains to current and future network infrastructure.Must be able to obtain/maintain a US Passport

 

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with network management and monitoring toolsets such as Cisco Experience deploying and managing firewalls (Palo Alto and/or Cisco ASA)
DNA Center, Cisco ISE, Wireshark, and OpmanagerFamiliarity with Windows and Linux workstation and server configuration and
operationFamiliarity with multicast network configuration, operation, and troubleshootingFamiliarity with Cisco Unified Communications and AV endpoints such as VoIP
Phones and VTC UnitsFamiliarity with MDA Ground Test, Flight Test, War Games, or Exercises
