Our Detroit branch is looking for a new Sea Logistics Reefer Operational Care Manager to join our Sea Logistics team. Your Role The Sea Logistics Healthcare/Reefer Operational Care Manager is responsible for managing the Healthcare/Reefer Operational team(s). They are the expert in operational processes and drive a team in order to provide first-class services according to the global and regional Sea Freight standards. Responsible for operational excellence to support the growth, gross profit and indirect expenses for Healthcare/Reefer Team. Oversees and coordinates a team of Operations Supervisors,Team Leads and Specialists, within the Operational Care Center (OCC). Take the lead to optimize the operational process and KPI(Key Performance Indicators) performance within the team. The Operations Manager ensures that they provide the best operational support for the new business opportunities and improve under performing business and are responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives across the department. Your Responsibilities
  • Provide Leadership and direction to the Operational Care team & supervisors
  • Ensure operational productivity KPIâs are achieved or exceeded
  • Monthly, Bi-weekly, weekly calls with Customer Care locations (CCL) and Regional Management to
    discuss open items
  • Immediately report all improvments, concerns and failures to the correct CCL Team
  • Continuous improvement of processes and practices to increase productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure that disciplinary and poor performance issues are dealt with quickly and correctly
  • Attend frequent Business Review Meetings with each area Healthcare leader.
  • Identify and communicate potential gaps in processes to Operational Care Center (OCC) & CCL
    Leadership Teams
  • Ensure highest Level of Data Quality & Compliance is achieved
  • Review, understand and be knowledgeable of KN QSHE policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate with NAM regional and US national heathcare teams.
  • GXP (Good Pharmiceutical Practice) certification requirements and adherance.
  • Familiarization with KN Products & systems, i.e. TMS, Customer myKN, KN Login/ESP, ACON
  • Establish and maintain a positive Employee Experience
  • Actively seek regular community based activities for team participation

  • Awareness of and adherence to QSHE (Quality, Safety & Health, Environment, Security & Dangerous
    Goods) programs
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Ability to delegate and coordinate team appropriately
  • Strong knowledge of import and export sea freight transportation
  • Minimum 2 Years KN/OCC operational experience
  • 1-2 Years Leadership experience at the Operational Care Center
  • Minimum High School Degree/Diploma. Preferred Bachelors/First University Degree
