Duties

In the role of Senior Technical Advisor for the CHIPS Manufacturing USA Program Office, you'll be at the forefront of semiconductor innovation, steering strategic initiatives, and leading complex projects that shape the future of the industry. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving advancements, solving technical challenges, and fostering collaboration across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the leading authority on semiconductor technologies, guiding strategic decisions and innovation.
- Spearhead and manage high-impact projects in semiconductor manufacturing and related areas.
- Analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions to advance program objectives.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics to ensure project success and program efficacy.
- Cultivate a network of stakeholders from academia, industry, and beyond to support and advance the program's strategic goals.

Qualifications

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level (ZA-IV at NIST) in the federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:
Significant experience in the semiconductor industry, including areas such as materials, microelectronics manufacturing, or security of microelectronic-based components/products; Leading efforts to create and implement technology solutions tailored to challenges in the semiconductor manufacturing sectors, coordinating with technical teams, and introducing innovative methods or technologies; and Managing semiconductor R&D programs, including setting performance indicators and assessing risks.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
