Opportunity Overview

Hologic is seeking a Director, Government Affairs to serve as a key leader within the company’s Government Affairs and Corporate Communications Department.  Reporting to the Corporate Vice President, Government Affairs and Corporate Communications, the ideal candidate will be a strategic government affairs professional who has expertise in healthcare public policy paired with a purpose and mission-oriented mindset. 

The successful candidate will be highly visible internally and externally and will make meaningful contributions to Hologic’s communications, partnership development and advocacy initiatives, playing a leading role in driving Hologic’s overall advocacy strategy. 

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Promote Hologic as a worldwide leader in women’s health in relevant policy, patient advocacy, and healthcare circles. Manage strategies and activities related to federal legislation, public programs and executive branch affairs. Develop and maintain relationships with relevant legislative and executive branch officials, patient and disease groups, industry trade associations, and other  stakeholders in support of Hologic public policy priorities.  Coordinate internally with cross-functional teams including market access, commercial, regulatory and corporate communications to identify opportunities to elevate Hologic and advance company priorities.  Contribute to the formation and execution of Hologic policy agenda, stakeholder outreach and development and advocacy strategies. Represent Hologic in trade associations, coalitions and related activities. Direct contract lobbyists in support of Hologic’s advocacy objectives.

Essential Qualifications

10 years of relevant U.S. Congressional and/or executive branch agency experience or as a government affairs professional in a healthcare company, trade association or consultancy. A passion for women’s health and commitment to reducing barriers to access to care. Experience with Congressional Committees and federal agencies with jurisdiction over healthcare. Motivated self-starter and ability to work well both independently and in a team environment. Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Crisp communication style and the ability to create an authentic connection with people at all levels.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $210,000 to $260,000 and is bonus eligible.  Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
